The idea of LEADucation came to us when we were going on our daily walk during summer. Both of us were volunteering at tutoring and language mentoring programs, where we were able to gain new perspectives and knowledge from people quite different from ourselves. This value and power that our generation holds to learn from each other while separated by miles of distance sprouted one of objectives for LEADucation: the belief in community learning. One major barrier we saw with schooling is the ability to teach leadership and workplace skills that are integral for students to enter the workforce as leaders. Due to our involvement in opportunities available in our area, we realized leadership activities have been integral in developing our real-world skills such as public speaking and interview preparedness. However during the times of quarantining due to COVID-19, these real-world and career-ready skills are limited, and some students around the globe are not taught these skills at all. From this, we sprouted the idea of LEADucation: an organization to spread knowledge from student-to-student on career ready skills that may not be covered in school.
LEADucation is continuing to publish new programs and courses to engage our students and offer volunteer opportunities to mentors. Check out our 'Get Involved' page to see how you can be active in our organization. We launched the LEADucation program on October 19th, 2020 and are continuing to progress and grow our community!
We strive to create an unbiased and safe environment for teachers and students. Our goal is to guide each and every student, regardless of their background or identity, to success within the college and career pathways.
Students are pushed to reach beyond what society tells them. They are seen as individuals and are encouraged to pursue their own identity and passions.
We continuously search for ways to make learning collaborative and exciting for students. It is crucial for the students to find education enthusiastic at a young age, for them to accomplish their goals and dreams.
We see the highest potential and hope for our learning communities to support each member in order to promote the welfare and education of all students. We open our platform for all to learn as well as teach about their experiences and life through the curriculum we will develop with you. Each person has great stories and lessons to share, and we want to hear from you all.
