LEADucation offers the opportunity to become a mentor to any student with a passion for serving their community. As a mentor, you will create a course relating to a topic that you are passionate about that relates to one of our areas of education. Mentors can chose to create a course with another person as well, if both have the same passion. For example, if you have a large interest in public speaking, as a mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with underserved students.
Being a mentor is NOT a binding contract. One may chose whether they would like to create their course and leave, or stay with the LEADucation Team. It all depends on one's available time after the course is published.
A list of available course topics to teach can be found here. If a course of your passion is not listed, no problem! Fill out the application form and tell us what you would like to teach
LEADucation provides a great way for empowered young adults and adults to serve their community through education. We hope that all of our mentors embody our values of inclusivity and equity for all. Our mentor program is a great way to contribute to those values. By teaching a course about your passions, you will both contribute greatly to service to the youth community as well as develop your own skills.
We strive to create a community of serving within the LEADucation mentors. It will provide you with a great way to network with other passionate teens and young adults and a chance to win recognition and awards from your community for outstanding service. All mentors will receive a certification of their contributions to LEADucation. Additionally, all hours put towards the LEADucation program will be verified for community service hours.
